GILLIAN SANDFORD

Gillian Sandford is an experienced British journalist who has worked for several years in the Balkans. She covered the 1999 Nato bombing and its aftermath for Time magazine and then was until January 2001 The Guardian and Observer's correspondent in Belgrade, where she reported on the October 5 uprising and the elections that ousted President Slobodan Milosevic from power.

Before she became a freelance international reporter, she was deputy news editor on The European magazine in London and carried out several assignments in Bosnia.

In Spring and Summer 2001 Gillian Sandford was a Visiting Fellow at the International Institute for Strategic Studies, London.

Sandford is the author of numerous magazine articles, news stories and radio reports. MIKE PRICE

Mike Price (co-producer and technical director) is an experienced radio producer and technical specialist who worked for the BBC for 27 years on World Service radio and Radio Four. He worked in the corporation as a senior studio manager, producer and BBC trainer. He is a founder member of the Radio Guild.

This double CD is based on work Sandford carried out over several years for Wheel of Fire, her book on Gorazde to be published next year.
